Boot construction dictates the repair approach. Goodyear-welted boots (Red Wing Iron Ranger, Wolverine 1000 Mile) are designed for multiple resolings over a 20+ year lifespan. We remove the worn sole, inspect and replace the welt if needed, then attach a new Vibram outsole using a lockstitch machine. Norwegian-welted boots (common in Danner and certain Scarpa models) use an outward-folded welt that provides superior water resistance — our repair preserves this critical waterproofing detail.

For Blundstone chelsea boots, we offer a complete restoration package: new Vibram 2060 soles (the closest match to factory compound), elastic panel replacement when stretched out, heel counter reinforcement, and leather reconditioning. The total cost of $90-$140 compares favourably to $220+ for a new pair, and your boots keep the custom moulded-to-your-foot fit that takes months to achieve.

Birkenstock repairs include cork footbed replacement ($45-$65), suede liner replacement, buckle hardware repair, and resoling with EVA or rubber outsoles. Our cobblers also reshape compressed cork to restore the original arch support contour that makes Birkenstocks therapeutic.

We stock Vibram 430 Mini-Bloc, Vibram 100 Montagna, Vibram 148 Kletterlift, Vibram Eton, and Vibram 2060 soles, plus Topy dress sole protectors and Continental rubber compounds for specialized applications.
